of Expertise
Othmar Furer is a graduate of Uzwil Institute of Technology in Uzwil,
Switzerland and has completed credit courses at University of Toronto
and at Concordia University in Montreal in calculus, business management
and industrial psychology.
Othmar has extensive international experience
within the manufacturing industry including a stint
as Manufacturing Manager at a plant in Singapore. He is highly adept
at creating team oriented, profitable and flexible customer-focused manufacturing
environments. His professional background included total responsibility
for Engineering, Tool & Die and Maintenance components at two plants.
He led a conversion in a low volume, high variety environment, from batch
to LEAN manufacturing. He was also instrumental in turning a traditional
functional plant into a world-class facility.
